SAG Week-2 The Chosen Idea

Because of the smoothness of the story, I decided to reduce the three girls to one girl. This way the story will not be too long, and it will allow me to describe the story better.

 

Story Brief:

A student committed suicide at school because his girlfriend broke up with him. He became a ghost, he didn't know that he was dead. Moreover, he has lost his memory and needs to shuttle through the memory to find the lost memory. In the game, he will be disturbed by the teacher's ghost. Finally, he will realize that he is dead.


A Small Story In The Game:

A teacher was accused by the public of dereliction of duty for causing students to commit suicide. The teacher also hanged himself in the school office because she couldn't stand the pressure of public speaking. Now it is rumored that students will occasionally see her ghost in the school building.


Plot:

At the beginning, the game will briefly introduce who the protagonist was. He broke up recently, and he was very sad. . . 

The game start at he woke up at the beginning and forgot what happened, why he was still at school, and the calendar on the wall said March 2015. Then he saw a letter. That is a broke up letter. The protagonist was wondering who it was, but he didn't know why he feels so sad. Then the protagonist said that he should go home first. Before that, he wanted to get something from his cupboard before going back. He found a picture of a woman with him. "She looks familiar..." 

He went to the door and wanted to go out, but suddenly there were many bloody handprints at the door. He was scared, and the whole school suddenly became dark. Then the protagonist said to go to the bulletin board to see if there is any information. The bulletin board has some information such as, you are not allowed to stay in school after class, dating is forbidden, the calendar was 2014. 

Suddenly the public phone rang, and he answered it. A girl said that the teacher had confiscated her things and they were in the office. He told himself to check it out. Maybe there is any clue. Then he went to the office drawer to find the key. Then when he lifted his head, he saw a dark shadow flashing outside the window. Then He went to the locker and found a box of necklaces and a letter. The letter is about the protagonist's love for to xxx class girl. Then he went to send the letter to the class. After sending the letter, a woman walked outside and laughed, and left a letter saying thank you, and also she liked him. The protagonist suddenly got a headache and fainted. 

He woke up again. There were many candles on the ground to lighten up the classroom. The calendar was April 2015, the public phone outside rang again. The girl on the phone said that even if you were to die, she would not change her mind. The protagonist will say that there is new information on the pinboard.  'A teacher committed suicide in 2015 because she can't stand for widely blamed. Then the door of another classroom suddenly opened on its own, and the protagonist went over and took a look. 

He found a heart on the table, and then there was a letter saying that 'you should give up, we can't get back to the past anymore'. After putting down the letter, the girl appeared out of the window again and then disappeared. The protagonist said he wanted to go to the toilet to wash his face, but when he looked in the mirror, blood bleeding out and then the toilet door at the back opened by itself, and he went in to see. There was blood, a blade, and a letter. The letter is the protagonist's suicide note. After closing the letter, the toilet door suddenly closed by itself. Finally, the picture of the male protagonist was published in the newspaper about suicide news. The story ends.

SAG Week-16 Fog

After asking the lecturer's opinion, everyone thought that the lighting effect of the flashlight was not good, so I removed the fog (Volumetric Light Beam Package). And, I adjusted the torchlight lighting color to be a cooler color. I tried to make fog using the particle system, but it didn't work well and it looked like smoke. I also try this package(Volumetric Fog & Mist 2), I forgot to screenshot the outcome I achieved. The outcome I am also not satisfied with is because the fog effect is too strong and it makes point lights look weird. I changed the way to trigger interactable outline, initial I used distance to trigger, now I changed to use when the player point on the interactable item then the outline will be triggered. SAG Week-12 Backpack System

Since the CorgiOutlineSDF package has a perspective effect, items with lines can also be seen in the case of obstacles, so I will disable these interactive items first. Only enable obstacles when they are removed. I also researched how to make the characters look scarier. In the end, I think the characters look scarier when the pupils are small. Finally, I added the backpack system. Players can see what items they have through the backpack system. But this system cannot be selected by arrow key, only by cursor.

SAG Week-17 Final Polishing

I watched this video to learn how to create a ghost shader, but it seems like require HDRP, so I just tried a similar way to create a glow shader and apply it to ghost. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KFMOD9jLCUg It looks nice, but it uses emission so it will not be affected by light. I don't want players can see the ghost in the dark. After that, I tried changing the glow to the base color. The results are not as good as emissions, but still better than before. I took the lecturers' advice and made the fan sharper, which felt more dangerous. And made the class section more prominent. Besides, I also applied texture to glasses. Now they look dirty.
